Recently, the couple sat down for an interview with Filmygyan, where the host told them about several comments that fans shared about the couple. In one of the comments, a fan asked them not to separate and get married. In response, Akriti blushed and said, "Kuch nahi" and Jashwanth was teasing her. He said:
"Cute! What do you have to say about this Akriti? Are yrr kuch toh bolo? I hope so let's see what happens."
When Akriti and Jashwanth won the title, host Sunny Leone asked the couple to share their views. In his chance, Jashwanth mentioned he intended to be friends with all the other co-contestants. However, Akriti mentioned her father. She shared that her father had a gut instinct from Day 1 that she would win the show. But now she wants him to accept Jashwanth as her boyfriend.

The finale of Splitsvilla X5 was held on August 11, 2024. In the final, Akriti Negi and Jashwanth Bopanna were declared the winners and took home prize money of Rs. 5 lakhs and several goodies. In the last task, they competed against Harsh Arora and Rushali Yadav, winning with a margin of a mere 5 seconds. The winner was originally going to get Rs. 15 lakh price money. However, Uorfi Javed and Munawar Faruqui entered the show before the finale task. They offered other finalists to take away Rs. 10 lakh and end their journey to the finale. However, the money would be deducted from the winning couple's prize money. The offer persuaded Kashish Kapoor and she took home Rs. 10 lakh.
